DESCRIPTION:Faced with analyzing a data set, investigators can be overwhelmed by the myriad of different statistical procedures. In this seminar, we will provide an overview of commonly used statistical procedures such as t-tests, Analysis of Variance, chi-square tests, and correlation. We will give investigators an understandable structure and approach for selecting appropriate procedures with real-world examples. As part of the introduction to statistical tests, we will specify the hypotheses being tested with each procedure. Participants in this seminar will be able to determine which statistical test is appropriate for their data as well recognize when more advanced methods may be necessary for an analysis. Learning objectives: Be able to define endpoints and specify hypotheses Know how to choose a statistical method based on endpoint characteristics (e.g., continuous vs. categorical) and number of explanatory variables Be able to decide between parametric and non-parametric methods\nevents.abc10.com/Which_test_should_I_use_Overview_of_statistical_tests/341161253.html
