"Journey of Hope: Real Life Stories of Living with Mental Health Challenges Portrayed Through Art" exhibit

Sunday, December 15, 2019, 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM

In honor of Mental Illness Awareness Week (Oct. 6-12), Sacramento County's "Mental Illness: It's not always what you think" project and the Crocker Art Museum present Journey of Hope, a collaborative art exhibit pairing local artists and writers to share stories about mental health, hope and healing. Each piece began with a story written by a Sacramento County resident living with mental illness, which was then given to a local artist to be used as inspiration for an original two or three-dimensional art piece. The public reception will be held on Sunday, December 15, from 1-2:30 p.m. and the exhibit will be on display at the Crocker Art Museum November 28, 2019 - January 5, 2020.

Cost: The exhibit is free on December 15
