Women Power at the River Cats
Women Power at the Ballpark
The high-flying power of women voters will be celebrated August 19th as the Sacramento River Cats pay tribute to the 99th anniversary of the 19th amendment, which gave women the right to vote.
In commemoration of the 19th amendment, River Cats tickets bought through the Capital Women’s campaign will be as low as $19 for the River Cats home game against the Albuquerque Isotopes on Monday, August 19th.
Former Sacramento Mayor, Heather Fargo, now spokesperson for the Capital Women’s Campaign says, “The 19th amendment was ratified 99 years ago. We celebrate that victory, while understanding that for a true homerun in our country, we must elect many more women in 2020, the year of the 100th anniversary of the women’s right to vote.”
