UCCE Master Gardeners of Sacramento County present March Open Garden at the Horticulture Center

At 10 a.m., watch mini-demonstrations on:
Water Efficient Landscapes: Container gardening.
Orchard: De-bugging orchard irrigation.
Herbs: Propagating herbs.
Vegetables: Cutting down and turning in cover crops.

On-going:
Orchard: Best tools for orchard care. Why a “Tropicals’ Hut”? Pollinators.
Herbs: Edible flowers in the garden.
Berries: Testing soil pH, tips for vigorous plants and superior yields
Vegetables: Vegetable garden pest management.
Vineyard: Pruning young vines: 3-year cane-pruned, 5-year spur pruned.
Compost: Build, turn and harvest compost. See new ‘Lincoln Log’ compost. Worm composting.

Bring samples of your problem plants or insects to the Ask the Master Gardeners table. The Master Gardeners 2020 Gardening Guide and Calendar will be available for $10, including sales tax.
