Tuleyome's Naturalist Course: Summer 2019
Do you love nature? Do you want to learn more about local plant, animal and insect species? Do you want to learn about volunteer opportunities related to the natural environment? Tuleyome is once again teaming up with the University of California's extension program and the Woodland Public Library to teach members of the public how to become Certified California Naturalists! No advanced degrees or previous naturalist experience is required. We’ll teach you the basics and get you certified and how far you go from there is up to you! We're offering TWO courses in 2019. Class size is limited to 25 people (adults only, 21 years and older). All fitness levels are taken into consideration, so the field trips will all be low-impact. the will take place on: Saturday, June 15, 2019Saturday, July 13, 2019Saturday, August 3, 2019 COSTS AND REGISTRATION DEADLINESFor the Winter Course, students will be expected to purchase the required textbook for the course. You can order the textbook directly from the University of California or through other book outlets. Standard Registration (After April 1, 2019): $425.00 (NOTE: Eventbrite will add a service fee to this cost, so your actual total will be $450.75. You can avoid the service fee by sending us a check payable to "Tuleyome" to Tuleyome CalNat, 607 North Street, Woodland, CA 95695) NOTE: Once the registration fee has been paid it will NOT be refunded in whole or in part for any reason (except in the unlikely event that the entire course is cancelled by Tuleyome). All participants also understand that photographs will be taken throughout the course. If you do not wish to be photographed, you must tell the photographer and avoid the cameras’ line of sight.
