Tour d'Architecture Bike Ride (2019 Experience Architecture)
Join our popular bicycle ride to see the latest in architectural design and development in Sacramento! This approximately five-mile ride is on flat, public streets. There are more than a dozen stops planned this year, including: several new housing/mixed use projects (19J micro apartments and the Press at 21st & P among them); new purpose-built architect and contractor offices (Mogavero Associates, LPA Inc, DPR Construction); new large-scale public buildings (Convention Center expansion, State Resources Agency headquarters); and innovative re-use of historic structures (Marshall Hotel, Bel Vue Apartments). Meet the architects, builders and/or developers at several locations -- and plan to grab lunch at one of the new restaurants on K Street at the conclusion of the ride. This event typically sells-out, so please register early! A signed liability form is required to participate. Please come prepared with your bicycle, helmet, water and sunscreen. Non-bike riders are encouraged to consider bike taxi service. Arrange directly with Velocab. Visit http://ridevelocab.com/ Tour starts at AIA Central Valley and ends at the 700 block of K Street.
