Placer Valley Tourism Proudly Hosts The Placer County Regions Business Retention and Expansion Project On behalf of the Placer County Economic Development Board, you are cordially invited to a presentation by Dr. Christopher Thornberg of Beacon Economics and author of the Placer County Regions Employment Profile reports, on: Wednesday, September 18, 2019 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm Johnson Hall, @ the Grounds 800 All America City Blvd, Roseville, CA 95678 Over the last several years, Beacon Economics has been on the cutting edge of working with local governments in the analysis of confidential data from the State Employment Development Department (EDD).  Their proprietary process of collecting, cleaning, and analyzing this important source of data is further enhanced by their ability to focus on defined areas to better understand and track employment, wages, and industry clusters.  Placer County has partnered with Beacon Economics to better understand the economic landscape of Placer County. Dr. Thornberg’s presentation will kick off a Countywide Business Retention and Expansion (PCRBRE) project, sponsored by the County Economic Development Board.  The PCRBRE will build on the data set forth in the recently completed Placer County Employment Profile Reports. The PCRBRE Project will be a Placer County regions collaborative effort, including the County, all six cities/town, chambers, business associations, business/industry organizations, non- profit organizations, educational institutions, and businesses/industries of various types and size.
