Teatro Espejo's Annual One-Acts Festival, featuring 3 new plays, directed by 3 emerging directors. The three plays include: 1) The Pen by Diana Burbano Directed by Catalina Bucheli Serrano A story about immigration and justice, or the lack thereof. How far are you willing to go to help thousands of people? Share a post? Donate to a cause? Become an activist? Sacrifice your own life? 2) 7 Days to Mexican by Annette Sanchez Directed by Mat Espinosa In preparation for her son's presentation at his school's multicultural event, a Mexican-American mother realizes her children do not know anything about being Mexican, and has just seven days to help her family become more Mexican in this comedic one-act about culture loss, assimilation, and honoring our heritage. 3) Pick Me Up by Rachel Lynett Directed by Panagiotis Roditis Jenna, a law student, and Lely, an escort she has hired for the night, awkwardly share a hotel room as they attempt to figure out how they know each other in this funny, heartbreaking, endearing play about how outside pressures can push us towards doing something we arent even sure we want to do.
