Seasonal Shift: Seasonal Wellness Workshop (Fall 2019)
Come to the Sierra foothills to celebrate the transition from the long days of summer into the longer nights of fall and winter! Embrace the lengthening shadows and increased inward focus by learning how to care for ourselves and our communities through the lens of land-based traditions such as medicinal herbs, crafts, plant meditation, and seasonal foods. This class will be a two-day experience on the beautiful Stone’s Throw Farm and is a combination of lecture and hands-on learning. Together we will create spice blends, herbal body lotion, dream pillows, and more! Students will leave with projects made in class, enjoy a medicinal lunch together, and learn techniques to support wellness throughout the changing season while using nature as a guide. This class will be co-led by Gretchen Hilyard Boyce, creator of Senses of Place and Sarah Jane Fairless, teacher and clinical herbalist. Class will be held at the farm on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm. Make this a nourishing self-care get away weekend for yourself! We will send out recommendations for accommodations and local restaurants after you register. $190 Early bird tickets on sale through October 1st! Regular price tickets are $220.
