Sacramento Artist Corps puts artists to work supporting COVID health education

***ONLINE EVENTS*** The Sacramento Artist Corps is putting artists to work in service of community during a national crisis, COVID-19. A project of the Latino Center of Art and Culture with Teatro Nagual and Teatro Espejo, the Artist Corps is funded by the City of Sacramento's Office of Art and Culture. The Corps employs over 40 artists to create over 60 works of art, poetry, songs, theater, live stream programing, photography, coloring books and murals, all about COVID-19 and what we can do to stop the virus. The new and original work can be seen nearly every day in the form of live streams at the Artist Corps Facebook site https://www.facebook.com/sacartistcorps. The Artist Corps works in seven distinct artist groups: *THE COVID CORPS: A presentation of COVID-19 related songs, bilingual music *SPOKEN WORD/POETRY: Voices from young writers *MURALS GO DIGITAL: Exhibition of mural images in digital form and a coloring book. *IMAGES FROM THE HEART: Youth photographers document life in the time of COVID-19 *MI GENTE MEDIA PRODUCTION: Video artists shooting short media pieces with a message *LIVE THEATER: two originals: "La Familia" and "Las Tres Mujeres" - Performances will be January 8 for La Familia, and Las Tres Mujeres, January 28, 29, 30 and 31st. *THE ART OF THE LIVESTREAM: Great interviews with community thinkers
