Online Kids Camp; UPCYCLED!: Turning Waste into Art

Wednesday, August 5, 2020, 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Our UPCYCLED! Summer Camp program is designed to engage kids in eco-friendly art projects that encourage creativity, self-expression, and resourcefulness. We will use many nontraditional supplies to make art, such as recycled paper, plastic bags, food coloring, tissue paper, and more items you may already have at home! Lessons are also designed to introduce art concepts, such as color theory and composition. Alongside making fun projects, kids will participate in daily eco-talks, which give them a chance to learn more about their environment, how to reduce waste on a daily basis, and how to develop an earth-conscious mindset. The ultimate purpose of this class is to teach kids that no one is too small to make a difference or have an artistic voice in the fight against climate change. Make sure to check out our website to learn about discounts and scholarships!

Cost: $150 members, $180 non-members
