March Featured Artists & Reception
Gold Country Artists Gallery will proudly feature three artists for the month of March. There will be a reception on Saturday March 21 at 5pm and ending at 9 pm. Lori Anderson works in Oil and Acrylic and likes to try different styles of painting and different subject matter. She went from landscapes to large florals and still life. Lori loves painting animals. Recently Lori has been painting abstract art and loves it! For her, it is color and lots of it! Philip Lachapelle's greatest influence comes from nature. He derives particular enjoyment when painting textures from trees, barns, foliage and water reflections. Lachapelle's award winning work has been exhibited at art association shows, outdoor exhibits and national shows. Tom Horton views himself as an abstract artist at his core, but because the natural world is where he lives, he takes his inspiration from the visual world to approach his work in a fine arts frame of reference. Although he describes himself as self-taught, he has continuously explored various styles since he sold his first painting at 12 years old. Tom is featured for his wood creations.
