Ingrid Newkirk, founder PETA

Saturday, February 29, 2020, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Newkirk will be the special guest of the Center for Animal Protection & Education (CAPE) an animal advocacy and rescue organization based in Grass Valley, CA. All funds raised from this event will benefit CAPE's animal rescue programs.

Animalkind, the title of Newkirk’s latest book, describes the theme of her talk too. She will delve into who animals are; their amazing abilities, the emotions they share with us; our past and current relationships with them; and our responsibility, as moral animals, to be kind to them.

A limited number of copies of Newkirk's book will be available for purchase. A book signing will take place in the final hour of the event.

DOORS OPEN AT 1:00PM. Ingrid Newkirk will take the stage at 1:30.
