Improv for Living: Baby Boomer Edition
The Sacramento Comedy Foundation has started a new Applied Improv education program called Improv for Living. The first course offering is “Improv for Living: Baby Boomer Edition” which is targeted to self-described Baby Boomers, or as course Instructor Liz Merry described “Folks who used a rotary phone, heard Walter Cronkite, and remember the moon landing.”
This class applies the art of Improvisational Comedy through exercises and games to practice positivity, focus, listening, resilience, and supporting your partner. While the class is not focused on performance it is also a great way to learn the Improv comedy basics.
If you’re looking for new ways of thinking and being, and you have a playful spirit, this course is for you!
Course Instructor Liz Merry has studied Improvisational comedy for approximately 13 years, on and off since 1986. Ms. Merry learned to use Improv for daily life as she adjusted to health limitations.
When: Sundays 1-3pm starting June 2nd ending July 7th. Six sessions.
Where: Comedy Spot Training Center, 915 T street, Sacramento.
