Genny Smith memorial naturalist hikes
Join Nora Livingston, the Mono Lake Committee's Lead Naturalist Guide for a moderate 2-5 mile hike through a variety of habitats including aspens, conifers, sagebrush scrub and alpine lakes to celebrate the legacy of the Naturalist Queen of the Eastern Sierra, Genny Smith, who passed away last year. This hike provides excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing, wildflower wonderment, and general sightseeing. Meet at the Mammoth Lakes Welcome Center parking lot (directions below). This guided 3-4 hour hike requires a moderate level of fitness. Additional Information: Meet at the Mammoth Lakes Welcome Center parking lot at 2510 Main St, Mammoth Lakes. Tours are free, but reservations are encouraged to secure your spot. Binoculars and field guides are encouraged.
