Discover the Wetlands Summer Camps 2019
with Yolo Basin Foundation

Calling All Nature Lovers!

Through experiments, activities, games, and crafts at the Yolo Basin Foundation’s wetland demonstration area, campers will explore the world of wetlands: water, wildlife, plant life, soils, weather, agriculture and foods!


June 17-21 & July 22-26, 2019
Discover the Wetlands 1
For children entering 1st-3rd grade in the Fall
Explore the wetlands for animal signs, tracks, and scat! Compare otters, beavers and minks, some of our wetland mammals. Find out how you measure up to an egret. Throw on some boots* and wade into the pond, exploring water bugs. And more! *Boots are provided
This camp repeats and is offered twice over the summer .


July 8-12 & August 5-9, 2019
Discover the Wetlands 2
For children entering 4th-6th grade in the Fall
Investigate wetland animals and plants through identification and dissection! Get your hands dirty with the great percolation race, a soils experiment. Play Marsh Munchers to examine what foods come from wetlands. Throw on some boots* and hop in the pond for critter collection and a closer look. *Boots are provided
This camp repeats and is offered twice over the summer.


Registration opens March 1 for all camps
Occur Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Drop off and pick up at the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area HEADQUARTERS

Max # of campers/camp: 12
Cost: $110 for Yolo Basin Foundation members; $135 for non-members.
