11th Annual Internal Study Mission

OVERVIEW The Internal Study Mission (ISM) provides emerging leaders, young professionals, and community members the opportunity to participate in a two-day immersion into the Sacramento region, learning about our most pressing issues and opportunities and meeting with business and elected leaders. The 11th Annual ISM will dive into issues such as housing, attracting and retaining the millennial workforce, building sustainable communities, and our arts and culture scene and how it all ties together as a part of Sacramento's inclusive economic development strategy.  Meals are included both days.  PROGRAM Day 1 - Thursday, October 24th Housing panel: A rising population, a homelessness crisis and increasingly polarized income levels all contribute to an increased demand for affordable, accessible housing. Hear from experts and leading developers who are innovating to meet the demands of modern housing. Tour: Innovative Housing Developments in Sacramento Millennial Workforce: "It Takes More Than Avocado Toast" panel: Sacramento continues to attract a steady migration of talent, from bay area transplants to college students returning to their roots. We’ll take a deeper dive into what the millennial workforce is seeking from their employers and their city, and why Sacramento is positioned to deliver on those needs.
