Operation Innovate Youth Hackathon
A Hackathon For Ages 12-17 Is Coming! Operation Innovate in partnership with Sierra College and the City Of Rocklin is hosting a STEAM related youth hackathon. 2.5 days of educational fun! Participants will get STEAMED and learn: Science ~ Technology ~ Engineering ~ Art ~ Math ~ Entrepreneurship ~ Design Sign Up Now! Space Is Limited! Learn. Make. Create. Teens will participate in workshops on computer programming, coding with Ruby, digital art media, robotics, soldering and more! They'll round out the experience in a project based learning format where they will work with a team to make a cool project and compete for awesome prizes. This event starts after school on Friday April 29th. Registration opens at 3 pm and the kids will start learning from 3:45 pm on Friday and continue until 5:30 pm on Saturday. Event FAQ Does $50 cover the whole weekend? Yes What are the ages of the participants? 12-17 but we're not checking IDs Do I have to bring my kid all weekend? Yes, the event lasts all weekend. For the best experience it is best if your child arrives on time each day. if your child has prior commitments ( i.e. after-school sports, church, etc) you can bring them after their prior commitments. However please make sure the drop off is during the following times. Friday 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm Saturday 8:30 am - 5:30 pm Sunday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. Will food be served? Yes, continental breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be served throughout the day. If your child has dietary restrictions, please plan accordingly. Where is the event located?
